Was there anything you found particularly difficult?

Reasons for finding These Homes difficult to use:

Giving the correct info.
I am registered homeless but for some unknown reason I have not received any priority passes.
I was advised that I would be awarded some kind of priority pass.
Finding out how to register and unsure the title of how to apply.
Unfortunately I have dyslexia so a little lengthy.
Having to get someone to help fill out application for me.
It’s not easy to fill in and it’s time-consuming. The councils registered also all have different rules. It’s a fight to be put on a waiting list.
Identifying what homeless means according to governing bodies. How to identify homelessness. How to express the cause of homelessness.

Can you think of any improvements that would have made the process easier?

Suggestions for improvements:

I never had an option as to where I would be housed.
Show some inside pics of houses.
Make it very clear how to apply.
A section to provide reason why applying its too basic & where you live affects your life.
Compassion.
Access to a person to help with this process available at beginning. I personally do not have someone to help as I am sure others are the same.
Be specific on what criteria is used to measure homelessness. Specify why you don’t think I cannot apply for assistance - what criteria was used! Why must I be evaluated by you and then by the council as well? Homelessness is same whether shared with you or the council.
I am applying on behalf of my 95 year old Mother who is only looking for very sheltered housing . I was not able to specify that .
The criteria for 'priority' pass should be clearly explained prior to completing registration. Received an email saying we had xx priority pass - no idea what this is about or how it works. Rang the office in Haddington to ask and offered to call in for a chat to better understand our eligibility/likelyhood of being allocated and got no help at all. The process needs to be transparent.
When you apply for an actual house, not a flat, something could be put in place that you do not receive information in regards to flat accommodation.
