Was there anything you found particularly difficult?
Reasons for finding These Homes difficult to use:
Registering medical details from heart failure ANP. |
There's no obvious or easy way to amend your address history without removing incorrect entries and resubmitting them. |
That it doesn’t remember your details for next time. |
Uploading documents. |
Won't let me register. |
Selection is not easy for different circumstances. |
I found the wording for the previous homes section was ambiguous. |
Could not get past the check human stage. |
Took over a week too get someone too unlock my email address to re-register again. Phoned my housing association 3 times, in the end I spoke to Grampian housing within seconds the problem was fixed. These Homes didn’t answer there phone either very frustrating. |
My mother lives in Edzell Woods and I want to live close by so I have to put Aberdeenshire. This means I am mainly getting shown houses in Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Inch, Huntly and some places, as an example, I've never heard off! You need to a location marker with a radius (miles) so it can be a bit more accurate. |
I still have to send emails of passport and driving licence. |
Sending ID. |
Finding The questions ask about my present accommodation. My mother's house address has always just been my postal address. Over 20 years ive been a tour coach driver. Its like I myself was army soldier. Home to visit family and friends, then I was away month to month. |
Was asked many times what my address was but was difficult to answer as I was staying with friends on their sofa. |
As I have never applied for any form of housing before and it was new to me I did not understand the procedure but think I have it now. |
Having to supply medical evidence as doctors surgery takes time. So cannot do that bit. |
Completing registration over 2-3 days. |
I entered information and it changed my answer twice. At the end of the registration the answers were still in the wrong places. |
Can you think of any improvements that would have made the process easier?
Suggestions for improvements:
Accept letters sent to other organisations such as Angus Council OTs and housing officers. Too much duplication and effort from applicants. |
Remember an option. |
Let me register. |
Find it difficult to up load my lease/ passport, not everyone can do this and have the equipment to do this. Angus home finder was good as you just went to the library and they did it all. I’m just interested in houses in Montrose and all I’m being sent is Arbroath,Forfar,Brechin, which I’m not interested thanks |
At the beginning of registration, fully inform what to expect next from registration, why it is beneficial to use this resource. |
I do not understand why only people from east lothian can apply as I am looking for a midmarket property and I am not relying on east lothian council to house me in social housing. |
Being able to do the medical form online. |
Yes people answering phones putting link on accounts to change access yourself. |
I registered with my partner duplicated. Clearing sign posting would have prevented this. |
You need to a location marker with a radius (miles) so it can be a bit more accurate. |
Not everyone is good with computer process of applications. Still think paper ones should be available. |
Better selection of houses that suit needs required. |
Understanding bed spaces against bedrooms? I know I need two bedrooms! |
I asked to move to a 1 bed bungalow in Banchory but I keep getting notifications about 3/4 bed houses in Portlethen or Stonehaven or more recently, Peterhead? |
Maybe an idiots guide would have helped this idiot. |
You have to ask what problems people have with their current housing. |
It would be better if there were questions asking for your reasons to need to move and about any mobility problems. Also, photos of the inside of the available properties are no longer available which is a big negative. |
Make the registration easier to complete. |
Make sure a question has a designated answer line just for that question. |
