Was there anything you found particularly difficult?
Reasons for finding These Homes difficult to use:
having all the details to hand that these homes needed to know as i have not applied for council housing before.
I did not realise how much information I would need to hand when completing form...if I could have accessed the whole form before I started I would have felt more prepared.
It was a nightmare setting up my password
Being asked for additional information for a medical pass was particularly stressful as this involved a considerable waiting time to be visited by an o.t
Not all answers are a 'yes' or 'no'.
I had no idea if I'd registered properly nothing to tell me I'd completed it
Just about everything not good on a computer
Navigating the online system in general
Putting in pass address and old landlord 's personal address. Feeling in answer for domestic abuse
Can you think of any improvements that would have made the process easier?
Suggestions for improvements:
After completing the application, I wished I could go back and remove some areas that I wanted to be registered for. Later I realized that I would be unlikely to relocate there.
You have to make allowances for disabled people. People with a neurodivergence (or two like myself) often find forms overwhelming. Especially if they have to be done online. Therefore i think you need to allow neurodivergent people that right to go and attend the housing office to get help with their forms. Asking us to do something that we cannot do without help is institutional discrimination. And prevents this pocket of disabled people accessing TIMELY support.
Can not.seem to view properties
As above....able to see all the questions before starting the form...and more guidelines.
I found doing it on line very stressful.
Making it possible for a family who can manage 3 but was access for 4 to be able to apply for 3.
A onetime passcode
Being contacted by phone said speaking to a human would have been beneficial.
Some answers need a space for putting in extra information to help the application.
Give more days for sending available homes for renting
A paper form rather than online
Making an appointment in person. As its difficult to answer some questions and sending proves online
Some changes could be easier it to complete the application.
